Session II of the 2022 NCHA Futurity Preferred Breeders Sale, on Friday, December 9, proceeded with the brisk bidding and strong sales established on Thursday, in Session I of the Sale, and resulted in an average of $35,818, with 89% of horses offered through the ring sold in Session II.
Happened In Denver, sired by Metallic Cat, topped Session II at $130,000. The red roan yearling colt, bred by Waco Bend Ranch, was consigned by Gale Force Quarter Horses and sold to Kathleen Moore, Madill, Okla.

Her dam, Reyhanna LTE $148,876, by Dual Rey, has produced six money earners, including Reyhannon’s three-quarter sister Miss Kitty Russel LTE $143,561, by High Brow Cat.
Reyhannon was purchased from Session II of the 2022 NCHA Futurity Sale by Jason Parker, Twin Falls, Idaho.
Playing In The Reyn, consigned by Ed or Shona Dufurrena, was purchased by Ty Smith, Whitesboro, Tex. A red roan Stevie Rey Von-sired yearling filly, Playing In The Reyn is the first foal out November Reyn LTE $69,915, an Im Countin Checks daughter. Her second dam, Metallic Cat daughter Purple Reyn LTE $364,059, bred, owned and shown by Brandon Dufurrena, was the 2015 NCHA Non-Pro Horse of the Year and has produced eight money earners.
Rebels Lou, a yearling daughter of 2017 NCHA Open Horse of the Year Metallic Rebel, sold to Marvin Vanderark, Grandville, MI, for $100,000, Session II’s third highest price.
Bred and consigned Barwick/Galyean, Rebels Lou is out of the Dual Smart Rey daughter Lou Lou Louise LTE $138,635, whose oldest foals are 3-year-olds. Second dam Miss Woody Two Shoes LTE $143,635, by High Brow Cat, is the dam of 14 money earners, including Hit Tha Flo LTE $192,866, a full sister to Lou Lou Louise.
